Future Infrastructure Forum

The EPSRC Network on Future Infrastructure (the Future Infrastructure Forum) has now held four meetings, with a fifth meeting planned for March 2013:-

FIF1 - September 2011
A two-day Introductory Forum was held on the 26 & 27th September 2011.

FIF2 - January 2012
A two-day International & Industry Forum was held on the 17 & 18th January 2012. In addition to the UK academics and industry delegates in attendance at FIF1, we were pleased to welcome speakers from Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Sri Lanka and the United States to give their perspectives on the challenges facing infrastructure in their respective countries.

FIF3 - April 2012
A two-day forum to discuss the various different research themes highlighted at the first two FIF meetings. It was held on 17 and 18 April at King's College, Cambridge.

FIF4 - September 2012
This Forum was intended to bring together and summarise the work of the previous three forums. In practice, the EPRSC call for proposals  was brought forward and so this forum was used to present a number of largely complete research proposals from different academic groups both to the industry representatives and other academics.

FIF5 - March 2013
The EPSRC kindly extended the Network Grant to allow this additional Forum to be held.
